Have you thought about a career working in castles, museums, or cultural venues? If so, this training opportunity could be for you…

Creative & Cultural Skills is advertising 12 month training placements with a paid bursary near you. 

The placement involves undertaking an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Cultural Heritage. 

You would be required to attend for 30 hours a week, and work to an individual learning plan to complete your qualification.  

A bursary of £800 per month will be paid to you, as well as an additional payment on completion of the qualification of £250.  There will also be a small contribution
to travel costs to placements.

Cadw is a partner in the project and will host placements at Caerphilly Castle, Conwy Castle and Plas Mawr (Conwy) along with other cultural organisations across Wales .e.g. Glamorgan Archives, Cardiff Story Museum, 

the Firing Line museum at Cardiff Castle.

Criteria:

This training placement is funded through the Cultural Ambition project, which is aimed at young people aged 18-24 who are:

- Not in education, employment or training
- Non-graduate
- Living within a reasonable commutable distance of the sites involved.

Applicants should have English/Welsh and Maths GCSE grade C or above, Essential Skills Wales, or an
equivalent qualification or experience.
