Apps Help Visitors Explore Two Castles

Apps Help Visitors Explore Two Castles

Cadw has developed two new bilingual apps that help tell the stories behind Conwy and Denbigh Castles. They work like games, encouraging visitors to explore the walled towns by completing challenges and collecting points along the way. App users can  compare  their progress with other players on the leader board.

• At Denbigh, visitors can choose to be one of three characters — Eleanor de Lacy, Huw the guard or Tom the kitchen boy — who have individual missions to complete and unique strengths to do so.

• The Conwy app invites visitors to uncover the legend of the jackdaw and find out what connects the bird to the ancient town.

• Both apps allow visitors to send a virtual postcard to family and friends.

The apps are available to download for free from the App Store and are compatible with iPhone and iPad.
