  • Cadw do not allow drone flying from or over its guardianship sites, except by contractors commissioned for a specific purpose, who satisfy stringent CAA criteria, have the correct insurances and are operating under controlled conditions.

Disabled visitor and companion admitted free
There is a public car park within 800 metres of the castle (approx. 75 spaces), situated on the estuary foreshore
Access to the castle is via a public footpath, private road and lane. These are steep and uneven in places. Access is limited to walkers only
The interior of the castle is lawned but steep in several places. Care should be taken when accessing the upper levels to the main gatehouse
There is no public access to the Iron Age earthworks
