World Heritage Day

Harlech Castle

Harlech Castle

Come and celebrate our World Heritage status of over 30 years.

Celebrate World Heritage Day with an informative costumed guided tour of the castle by Sian the Castle Custodian. And, while you’re here, you'll also be able to listen to period music performed by the excellent Hautbois in and around the site.

Tours at 11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm.

Beaumaris, Conwy, Caernarfon and Harlech castles, together with the fortifications surrounding the towns of Conwy and Caernarfon, have been collectively declared a World Heritage Site. These castles have been described as the finest examples of military architecture of their kind in Europe. At the time of building, their designs were ground breaking and their structural magnificence remains as imposing as ever.

Enjoy World Heritage Day at one of four castles. Whatever your view, each castle is a compelling story in stone.
