Support for the Sector COVID-19

Financial support

The following schemes are providing support for organisations that look after a historic building or heritage attraction that are experiencing challenges due to the restrictions and impacts associated with COVID-19.

Cultural Recovery Fund Round 3 (December 2021 – February 2022)

On 12 January the Welsh Government announced a third round of Cultural Recovery Fund (CRF) support for cultural organisations which can demonstrate they have experienced material impact through reduced turnover between December 2021 and February 2022 as a consequence of alert two measures. Previous recipients of CRF will be contacted with details of eligibility and application procedures. Eligible businesses and organisations which have not received support via CRF to date may also apply, if they meet the criteria.

Third Sector Resilience Fund

The WCVA is working with the Welsh Government to help voluntary organisations stay in business, and has introduced the third sector resilience fund for Wales to provide cash flow support to help organisations through the current crisis. The fund is designed to support those voluntary sector organisations that need financial support primarily because of a fall in their fundraising and donation income, rather than because of a loss of trading income. Architectural Heritage Fund

The Architectural Heritage Fund is a registered charity that promotes the conservation and sustainable reuse of historic buildings for the benefit of communities across the UK. It provides advice, information and financial assistance in the form of early project grants and loans for projects undertaken by charities and not-for-private profit organisations. It has produced a useful guide to support available to charities and social enterprises during COVID-19.
