Foundations in Heritage Bursary Scheme
The Foundations in Heritage Bursary Scheme facilitates and funds work-based training placements in the built heritage sector in South Wales.
Placement trainees, with the help and guidance of placement providers work towards an NVQ3 in Heritage Building. The skills learnt will help sustain the built heritage sector in South and West Wales.
Placements are arranged by the Heritage Bursary Officer. It is a flexible scheme that enables the trainees to be placed with a number of different placement providers during the year to maximise learning experiences.
Training will include lime plastering, stone masonry, and carpentry.
A bursary payment of £13,200 for the 12 month programme will be awarded to successful candidates to enable them to cover expenses associated with gaining a qualification.
