Calling young, budding historians in Wales and beyond…

Get ready to discover Wales’s epic history and culture through hundreds of ‘cool’ activities, workshops and never-seen-before experiences at our first-ever Kids’ History Festival.

Between 1 and 25 August, more than 25 heritage sites across Wales will work in tandem to bring you an unforgettable summer of fun and festivities — from Lego castle building workshops to heart-stopping battle re-enactments and even a World War II Takeover at a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

With more than 100 exciting events to choose from — including an epic ‘Grand Opening’ celebration at Caerphilly Castle (Thursday 1 and Friday 2 August) and official closing ceremony at Beaumaris Castle (Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 August) — you’ll be spoilt for choice with ways to explore Wales’s spectacular heritage this summer.
