In May 2013, Cadw sponsored Welsh History Month in the Western Mail — and contributed a series of thought-provoking articles about historic objects. The articles are available to download from this page.
Cadw’s director, Marilyn Lewis, said of the series: 'There are many exciting stories in Welsh history which link historic sites right across Wales, including the 128 monuments in Cadw’s direct care. We are working to bring these stories to life to inspire visitors and local people to follow them around the country. This series, looking at historic objects, shines a light on many of these amazing places and we hope that it will encourage everyone to get out and explore Wales’s unique and very special heritage this summer.'
