Our ancient fortress is undergoing an extensive transformation project and you’re invited to be part of the experience by discovering what we’re up to in one of Wales’ most important heritage attractions.
Join our team for a guided tour on Friday mornings or Sunday afternoons to find about…
A Revamped Great Hall
From underfloor heating to wall-to-wall heraldry, we’re recreating the opulence of a medieval hall with the comforts of the 21st century; a space where schools and community groups can immerse themselves in the dramatic history of Wales.
Access for all
Our plans include additional access paths and ramps to enable all history enthusiasts and curious travellers to explore like never before.
Our new interactive exhibits will bring to life some of the most important people in 13th century Wales, while our captivating stories will inspire the next generation of archaeologists and historians, the future keepers of our heritage.
