Visitors to Caerphilly Castle this half-term are in for a roaring good time, as Cadw’s famous family of Welsh Dragons land back at the historic site.

Touching down on Monday 30 October, “mam” Dwynwen and her mischievous little monsters, Dylan and Cariad, will be reunited with “dad” Dewi, following their busy summer tour of eight castles around Wales.

While Dewi and Dwynwen “cwtch up” and hibernate in front of the Castle’s iconic leaning tower, dragon spotters must keep their eyes peeled for Baby Dragons, Dylan and Cariad, who have taken to playing hide and seek within the fortress’ grounds.

Ken Skates, Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Infrastructure, said: “The Dragons’ return to Caerphilly Castle marks the final chapter in Cadw’s hugely successful Live the Legends marketing campaign — which, not only led to Cadw’s best summer on record, but also helped capture the imagination of a nation and encourage them to explore their heritage.”
