Registered Historic Parks & Gardens
For hundreds of years, historic parks and gardens have been an important part of Welsh landscapes.
Today they are a network of valuable green spaces, and places of enjoyment, beauty and leaning. They still have a role to play in building a healthier and greener Wales.
Parks and gardens of special historic interest in Wales are recognised through registration. They include a wide range of places – rural parks around country houses, deer parks, town gardens, hospital grounds and public parks, for example. They date from the medieval period to the twentieth century.
In this section you can find out more about them, and about what registration means.
