Cadw tells its spooky tales this Halloween

Thursday 26 September 2013

Cadw is making full use of the mystical surroundings of its historical monuments this Halloween, by hosting a series of spooky trails, live interpretation tours, storytelling sessions and spine-chilling events at sites across Wales.

Discover the dark and mysterious stories behind some of Wales’s most-loved sites, including tales of medieval legends in the grounds of Raglan Castle and an after-hours tour of Castell Coch. Get in the Halloween spirit with pumpkin carving at Denbigh Castle or a spooky outdoor trail at Lamphey Bishop’s Palace (watch out for the bats!).

John Griffiths, Minister for Culture and Sport, said: ‘Cadw’s programme of Halloween events aims to appeal to a wide range of audiences — from families to young people. Events like these are key to engaging with new audiences, and to encourage local people to explore and enjoy their local monuments.’
