Come and learn “The Story of the Dragon”, listen to a traditional harpist and maybe eat a Welsh cake or two!

Families are invited to take a step back in time this Sunday to join in one of our activities such as medieval & Celtic music in the chapel or sitting to listen to some traditional tales of Wales. Other activities include birds of prey as a medieval group talk visitors through how the birds were used in those times.  A young harpist will also be performing in the visitor centre as part of the celebrations.

Visitors can enjoy a free day out for all the family while discovering the answers to the castle quiz to win some great prizes.  There is also the chance to join in a free guided tour to bring the castle’s history to life.

Mike Williams, Custodian at Beaumaris Castle, said “Our Welsh history is very important to us and what better place to come to than Beaumaris Castle to celebrate St David’s Day and its’ free entry for all”!

This free-entry event will take place on 1st March 2015 between 11.00 and 16.00.
