Cadw Cymru Minecraft
Minecraft Education is available through Hwb, and Wales is a leader in using Minecraft Education in education settings.
Cadw Cymru is a new pioneering educational product that cleverly merges the virtual realm of Minecraft with the rich history of Welsh heritage sites. And coupled with the new Cadw Cymru Minecraft Welsh Language Resource Pack, it offers practitioners in Wales an exciting tool to engage learners with their national history in an interactive and immersive way.
Cadw Cymru is a unique educational project that leverages Minecraft's popular sandbox game to bring Welsh history to life.
Developed in collaboration with historians, practitioners, and digital designers, the program recreates iconic Welsh heritage sites within Minecraft Education. In an engaging digital format, these virtual spaces allow learners to explore and learn about historical landmarks, such as castles, abbeys, and ancient ruins.
The name "Cadw" is Welsh for "to keep" or "to protect," reflecting the project's mission to preserve and promote Welsh heritage. By using Minecraft, a game already loved by learners, Cadw Cymru provides a familiar and exciting platform to foster a deep sense of cynefin and educational engagement.
And now you can also unlock the vibrant world of Minecraft Education like never before with the Cadw Cymru Minecraft Welsh Language Resource Pack!
