Come and see Beaumaris Castle transported back to medieval times, where knights, lords and ladies, musicians and jesters take you back to what life was like at the time in Wales.

Experience medieval life at its best. Visit the medieval encampment, learn about arrow making, leather work, medieval cooking, weapons, games and more.

There'll be demonstrations about armour and how it’s worn, and how weapons were used against armoured knights; how archers were feared by all on the battlefield, and how to shoot a knight; about clothing and how it was used to show status and wealth.

Look out for the castle executioner, with his grim stories of torture and examples of equipment used back in the dark days of medieval punishments.

Watch the knights train in the fight arena and get ready for battle, and look out for the drunken archer.

Join in with drill training and the Knights School for young and old.

And the castle jester will amuse you with his funny jokes and death defying tricks.

The day will culminate in a main battle between Lord Gerard de Rhodes and Captain Nicholas Horton, accompanied by their men and archers. Things won't be going well for Captain Horton, and he'll need to recruit more knights from the crowd! Children aged thirteen and under will be invited to join the Captain’s ranks to help defeat Sir Gerard and his knights.
