Tŷ Coch cruck barn was originally built as a hall house, with an inner room, a hall with passage and a cow house. In the 18th century the building was converted to agricultural use, and was a shippon prior to extensive repair work. It was listed in 2002 but was in a dilapidated state. The repair work took place in the early 21st century, undertaken by Denbighshire County Council, and since then the building has been used by small businesses.

Tŷ Coch is occupied by the ethical beauty business, Bathing Beauty. Bathing Beauty is the only B Corp certified beauty business in Wales - this means that Bathing Beauty has achieved and maintains the highest standards of ethical sustainable and transparent business practices in the world today. A massive achievement and really unusual for a micro brand to have achieved it, but it reflects the commitment only to use the business as a force for good. Bathing Beauty is the only B Corp Certified Beauty Brand in Wales.
