This post will help manage and deliver the conservation of historic and scheduled monuments and non-Facilities Management related operational maintenance at its 130 historic sites across Wales.

The post holder will ensure that Conservation services are executed to a high standard and monitor statutory compliance to ensure that Cadw’s World Heritage sites and scheduled monuments across Wales are safe, well conserved and accessible, giving a positive visitor experience within their region.

Applicants will need to be qualified to NVQ level 4 or equivalent with a minimum of five years’ experience in similar roles with excellent communication skills.

The conservation manager will need to be a skilled leader of craft-based teams of stonemasons and joiners, as well as the ability to procure, appoint and manage external contractors and specialist consultants on operational and minor project work.

Salary: £31,210 to £38,160 plus pension benefits
