The Welsh Government’s first consolidation project to bring order and clarity to the law of Wales.

More than 100 historic environment stakeholders joined Cadw’s deputy director, Gwilym Hughes, and the Legislation and Policy Team for a virtual introduction to the Historic Environment (Wales) Bill.

The session, which was organised in association with the Welsh Heritage Group, provided an overview of consolidation and its benefits before surveying the structure and contents of the Bill. Some helpful pointers on the use of the supporting documentation to navigate and better understand the Bill were followed by a look at the steps the legislation will take on its way to becoming an Act.
