We want to hear your views on the future of archaeological sites, historic buildings and historic parks and gardens in Wales.
Cadw has been undertaking a review of heritage protection in Wales over the last six months, and has held a number of workshops to inform this work.
In partnerships with the Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) we are now holding a number of drop-in events around Wales to discuss proposed changes to the way we protect our heritage in Wales. The outcome of this work will feed into the development of a new Heritage Protection Bill. We are interested in hearing what is important to you.
Drop in to the following events at any time between 10:30 and 3:00 to discuss with Cadw your views on the future of heritage protection. Cadw will be giving a short overview of progress to date at 11:00 and 2:00, but people will be at hand at all times to discuss the future of the protection of the historic environment in Wales.
24 October, Heol Awst Chapel, Lammas Street, Carmarthen
8 November, The Guildhall, Brecon
20 November, The Guildhall, Conwy
If you have half an hour to spare then please come along to feed in your views as to what is important to local communities, how we can encourage community engagement in the historic environment; whether the current system of protecting historic buildings in Wales is working and a lot more!
