The Retail Department is responsible for the sourcing, distribution and presentation of a wide range of retail products sold both online and in Cadw gift shops throughout Wales.

As an internal agency of the Welsh Government protecting Wales’s historic monuments, it is important that goods and services meet our requirements and comply with our terms and conditions.

We aim to work with suppliers who share our values and avoid business practices which harm the environment or individuals and communities. This includes zero tolerance of modern slavery in all its forms.

If you are a business or have a product you would like us to consider, please contact the Retail Department via cadw.sales@gov.wales with the following information:

  • contact name
  • company name
  • your role
  • contact phone number
  • contact email address
  • company website
  • company address
  • attach your product catalogue, if available
  • an introduction to your company (max 200 words).

The following points make up some of the main product evaluation criteria:

  • must be commercially viable
  • must be relevant to the monument, Wales or its history
  • must be of high quality
  • must be competitively priced
  • must complement other products or themes.

Requests received will be kept on file for six months. Should we require any further information, we’ll get in touch using the email address provided in your enquiry.

Due to the high volume of supplier requests we receive, we regret we are unable to respond to each enquiry.

The Conditions of Contract for Goods is available on request to existing Cadw suppliers. Please contact the Retail Manager, via cadw.sales@gov.wales.
