Add hues to history

Acclaimed artist Pete Fowler has produced beautiful black-and-white artworks that summarise the lives of three significant characters from Welsh history:

The three figures are:

  • Gilbert de Clare — ‘Red Gilbert’, the Marcher lord who built Caerphilly Castle
  • Llywelyn ap Iorwerth — the prince of Gwynedd who united Wales
  • Owain Glyndŵr — the medieval Welsh ruler who led a long-running revolt

Print off a sheet and use pencils, pens or paint to add colour to these bold designs.
