This three-storey, former Williams Brothers horse-drawn carriage factory, was built in 1868. It is a rare example of Denbigh’s industrial heritage and is important as part of the town’s conservation area. Each floor specialised in fabricating different components. The vertical production passed up through the floors through trap using chains. Although the business diversified into coachwork for chassis, it did not thrive in the world of the motorcar. The sympathetic conversion into an arts and crafts centre retained many of the industrial features and artefacts. Currently the property is a cross disciplinary studio and gallery run by Studio MADE.

The 2024 Denbigh Open Doors Weekend launches Friday 20 September 2024 with a geology evening lecture at the Theatr Twm o'r Nant. Over the following two days, Saturday and Sunday 21 and 22 September 2024 from 10am to 5pm, around thirty historically important sites in the locale will be open to the public, supplemented by children’s workshops and guided tours.
