A grade 2 listed building with a few medieval features. The building was quite extensively rebuilt by the local landowners, the Hanburys) in the first half of the 19th century. The first official mention of the church is from 1254 in the Norwich Tax Census  A number of legends surround the medieval story of the church & it’s original building The preaching cross outside the tower door was put up in 1856 but the base it rests on dates from the 7th century.
