2025 marks the 150th anniversary of the opening of the present church (Architect E.H. Lingen Barker)  the third time the structure had been restored in the nineteenth century. The building was erected in what was regarded then as the 'correct' ecclesiological style, with an emphasis on height and the distinct threefold division of nave, chancel and sanctuary. Since 1874, the most notable addition has been the stunning modern stained glass windows, whose importance is described by Rev. Dr. John Morgan Guy in these words: 'Artistically, the church occupies a possible unique place in the history of stained glass in Wales.'

The Church will be open between 2 - 5pm on Saturday, 6 September, when visitors will not only have an opportunity to see the church and the stunning stained glass windows, but also a small exhibition which will be mounted to mark the 150th anniversary of the structure. At 3pm, a talk will be given, describing not only what the 1870's building replaced, but the story of the construction of the present church as well as account of how the church came to posses such remarkable stained glass windows. Light refreshments will be served throughout the afternoon in the nearby village hall, where the nearest toilets are also available.

St. Peter's Church is situated in the middle of the village of Little Newcastle, on the southern side of the village green, and its postcode is SA62 5TD. Ample car parking is available around the green and toilets are available in the nearby village hall.

Little Newcastle is situated two and a half miles east of the Fishguard  Haverfordwest A40 road, (Letterston turning). Public transport only as far as Letterston. Ample car parking is available around the green and toilets are available in the nearby village hall.  Disabled access to the nave only.
