This Welsh Presbyterian chapel, originally home to Calvinistic Methodists, was built by Thomas Williams in 1889-91. The minister then was Rev. Robert Ambrose Jones (Emrys ap Iwan), a famous advocate of Welsh self-government and the Welsh language. Welsh continues to be the language of worship in the chapel. Inside pews are arranged in a horseshoe. The chapel has tracery windows under a broad hammerbeam roof and there is an impressive array of organ pipes. The importance placed on preaching is emphasised by the ornamented pulpit and below it the 'Set Fawr' Deacon's Pew.

No booking required.

Capel Y Tabernacl is situated in Well Street, very close to the centre of Ruthin - LL15 1AF. Bus stops are in nearby Wynnstay Road and Market Street.

There are some steps at the entrance.
