Open Doors - Theatr Twm o’r Nant, Denbigh

Dr Evan Pierce Memorial Hall, now Theatr Twm o’r Nant. Dr Evan Pierce, a noted nineteenth­ century physician, built at his own expense in 1890 to the memory of his mother. At the time it included a museum of his lifetime achievements. It is constructed in a late Victorian Classical Style with a symmetrical facade and central entranceway sitting beneath a portico, which is supported on fluted columns with a pediment above that carries Queen Victoria's Royal Coat of Arms. It will function as an information hub at the bottom of town with toilets and an opportunity for refreshments.

The 2025 Denbigh Open Doors Weekend launches Friday 19th September 2025 with an evening lecture exploring property deeds at the Theatr Twm o'r Nant. Over the following two days, Saturday and Sunday 20th and 21st September 2025 from 10am to 5pm more than thirty historically important sites in the locale will be open to the public, supplemented by talks and guided tours. A booking service for the sites, talks and guided tours that have a limited number of places will be available through Denbigh Library, closer to the start of the weekend. Further information will be available on:  https://darganfoddinbych.cymru  https://twitter.com/OpenDoors_D  https://www.facebook.com/opendoorsdenbighshire/
