Visit Tintern Abbey

There is a large flat tarmac jointly-owned pay & display car park directly outside the visitor centre entrance, with 5 accessible spaces: Google Maps View

There is also an overflow car park with 25 spaces, totally around 85 spaces in all

The car park takes cash payments only, which is refundable in the visitor centre on purchases equal to or above the car parking charge value and for Cadw members.

The visitor centre and gift shop are accessed from the car park through double doors, with an button for remote opening from a wheelchair. There is a low admissions desk.

Toilets: accessible toilets available and located as you leave the visitor centre into the abbey including baby changing facilities.

Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and non-assistance dogs must remain on the ground floor only.

The abbey is mainly flat and laid to grass with some gravel paths. The site can be enjoyed at ground level, but there are a few small steps dotted around the site.

Please note most of the church has ongoing conservation work; there is currently limited access to this area including for wheelchair users.

This area of the site is assessed via a modern metal staircase or via a ramp.
