Cadw and Family Holiday Association have partnered up to help struggling Welsh families enjoy days out.

A simple day out can improve family well-being, bring relief from stresses at home and provide opportunities to create precious family memories to cherish forever.

The partnership will help families facing some of the toughest challenges life can bring including severe and long-term illness, mental health issues, bereavement and domestic violence. Each family is referred by someone working with them in a professional supporting role. By working with referrers, the Family Holiday Association can be sure that the tickets help the families who will benefit the most.

The aim of the scheme is to help Welsh families experience their local and national heritage and culture (maybe for the first time) by using some of the country’s most stunning locations to relax, get away from their issues for the day and enjoy some quality family time together.
