Car Parking Information

There are 15 car parking spaces available on site, although more may be arranged subject to requirements and weather conditions. There is also on road parking for approximately 10 cars adjacent to the castle entrance and public car/coach parks are available in Denbigh Town Centre which offer long stay or short stay rates.

Site Access

Vehicular access to the site entrance is possible, however there is limited bus/coach access due to the narrow approach roads. There is no vehicular access to the Castle’s Inner ward. Trailers, trolleys etc. can be manually manoeuvred into the Inner Ward however width restrictions do apply. A pre-event site survey is recommended.

Access for restricted mobility

The site is accessible for all visitors however visitors will need to be aware of the uphill sloping footpath from the car park to the visitor centre. The castle grounds also include some grassy and uneven paths. There are designated disabled parking places, which can be booked in advance of visiting.

Facilities

  • Three patio tables (suitable for wheelchair users) and twelve patio chairs are available
  • Toilet facilities for male/females are available in addition to facilities for those with mobility restrictions
  • Low counters, push assist doors, fixed hearing loops and a baby changing facility is also available
  • Limited kitchen supplies available to hirers including microwave, kettle, fridge, sink with hot and cold water supply

PPL and PRS licences held. Premises licence (not for consumption) also held.

Interior Spaces

Visitor Centre which measures 12m (length) by 3m (width) by 3.5m (height). There is sufficient space for 20 people to sit and 40 people to stand in this room. The two doorways to access this room are 1m wide with a low ramp.
