Cadw is the Welsh Government’s historic environment service. When you register for Open Doors, we will collect personal data — your name, affiliation and email address — in order to send you updates about the Open Doors Programme and other email notices to keep you informed. The Welsh Government is the data controller for this information and we will use it to manage the registration list. We will not share your information with anybody else. We will retain your information for 6 years or until you ask us to remove it from the registration list.    

If you wish to remove your information from the registration list, send your email address to CadwPublicProgrammes@gov.wales and we will remove you from list and delete all of your personal information.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data that we are processing about you;
  • require us to rectify inaccuracies in that data;
  • (in certain circumstances) object to or restrict processing;
  • (in certain circumstances) have your data ‘erased’;
  • lodge a complaint;
  • withdraw consent for us to process your data at any time.

Open Doors images — agreement for use by Cadw

By ticking ‘yes’ to the image use agreement box on the Open Doors registration form:

You agree that we (Cadw) can use and publish all or part of the image(s) in any medium in connection with or by reference to Open Doors 2021 (the 'Purpose') on a non-exclusive royalty free basis and that we can sublicense the use of the image(s) for the same purpose.
You accept that neither we nor a sub-licensee will be able to credit you, the original photographers or the relevant copyright owner when we use the image(s).
You have the right to grant us a licence to use the images(s) for the Purpose on these terms and that you accept liability for any claims, losses, costs and expenses (legal or otherwise) incurred by us and howsoever arising in connection with our use of the images.
You agree that the laws of England and Wales shall govern the above and that English and Welsh courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim relating to the above.
