Multi-million selling, BRIT and Grammy award nominated Groove Armada will bring their stunning live show and unmistakable sound to the beautiful and iconic setting of Caerphilly Castle, south Wales on Sunday 14 July 2019. This will be the legendary duo’s first live appearance in Wales for over 10 years and an exclusive Welsh summer show. Tickets will go on sale at 10am Friday 10 May 2019 through www.Ticketmaster.co.uk.

For nearly two decades Groove Armada have established themselves as one of the planet’s best loved and biggest selling dance acts. As comfortable on the big stages as they are in sweat soaked basements, they will feel right at home when they perform at Wales’s largest castle. From mellow, melodic chill-out tracks to electronic beats and uplifting dance anthems, a Groove Armada live show is like no other.
Expect to hear all the fan favourites including 'Superstylin', 'My Friend', 'I See You Baby', 'At the River' and many more. The date promises not only to be an incredible live show with a vibrant party atmosphere but a visual spectacle to assault your senses. As one of only a handful of outdoor shows in the UK this summer and the first time the band have played in Wales for over a decade, the duo will take the crowd into the night with an exceptionally crafted set that transports you to the sunny vibes of Ibiza.

Warming up the crowd for the event will be Jean Jacques Smoothie, best known for his 2001 smash hit single '2 People'.
Andy Cato and Tom Findlay met in London in the mid 90s. Groove Armada started as a series of nights across London, and it was to promote these nights that they started releasing 12-inches for East London pioneer Tummy Touch. An album made in a week, Northern Star, soon followed (which contained downbeat anthem 'At the River'), and from that came major label recognition. Their first album on Jive sold over a million copies and four albums followed on SONY and BMG garnering Grammy and Brit Nominations and sold out gigs from Sydney to Moscow. A pioneering combination of performance and electronics, their live show evolved into one of the very best in dance music.

The show is being promoted by current and three times Live UK Regional Promoter of the year Orchard Live, who have a strong history with running concerts in this iconic venue, with this show being the last in a run of five including The Stranglers, Black Stone Cherry, Public Service Broadcasting and The Zutons.

Pablo Janczur of Orchard Live says: “It’s going to be one hell of a party to end a run of awesome shows in this iconic venue!”

Tickets go on sale through www.ticketmaster.co.uk and locally through Blackwood Miners’ Institute on Friday 10 May at 10am.
