Cadw Tour Operator Scheme & Trade Explorer Pass - Terms & Conditions

On occasion some sites are closed for reasons beyond our control, may host free entry days and /or special events. We recommend checking the Cadw website, our Facebook or Twitter accounts or calling the site ahead of your planned visit to make sure there are no planned closures.

Booking conditions
- Trade ticket prices and site opening times can be found on Travel Trade | Cadw (gov.wales)
- You must be registered with the Cadw Tour Operator Scheme to qualify for trade admission rates. The process for registration is to contact the Cadw commercial team who will check your trade status. You will then be provided with a password to register online CTOS login. Simply log in using your email, change your password and then make your bookings online.
- All trade group bookings must be made on the Cadw booking platform to qualify for the trade rates. You will be sent a confirmation email when your booking has been accepted by your chosen site – this can take up to 5 working days. Please note your booking is only provisional until you receive the confirmation email.
- A maximum of two complimentary entries will be considered per booking (one for groups up to 15 and two for groups of 15 or more)
- Email cadwcommercial@gov.wales to amend your booking.
- You must provide your company name, Cadw booking reference, your pax and their categories on arrival at site.
- You must adhere to any site restrictions in place at the time of your visit.
- You will be invoiced following your visit.
- Email cadwcommercial@gov.wales to cancel your booking.
- Cancellation notice of 24 hours is requested.
- The validity period of the Explorer pass: The 3-day Explorer Pass can be used at an unlimited number of sites, on any 3 days in any 7-day consecutive period following the first visit. The 7-day Explorer Pass can be used at an unlimited number of sites, on any 7 days in any 14-day consecutive period following the first visit.
- To qualify for trade rates for Explorer Passes, please contact the Cadw commercial team. You will be provided with a code to enter when you purchase the tickets online.
- Trade explorer passes are pre-paid, non-refundable and non-returnable.
- Trade explorer pass QR codes (minimum 3x3cm (113x113px)) must be presented at each admission charging site.
- If possible, please include the original Cadw booking reference as well as your own reference to your customer.
- Trade explorer passes will automatically become invalid after seven days of use (or at the end of the 14 day period from date of activation) or after three days of use (or at the end of the 7 day period from the date of activation) whichever is reached first.
