Open Doors - Caernarfon Record Office
Caernarfon Archives is located on the side of Victoria Dock in the town of Caernarfon. The Record Office protects over 800 years of the area's history. The collection includes a document dating back to 1177 and letters signed by Charles the 1st and Oliver Cromwell as well as diaries, letters, deeds, parish registers, newspapers, photos and maps and reflects the rich history of the county.
Come visit the Caernarfon Archive to get a chance to see behind the scenes and see how we keep documents and how we go about protecting the collections in our care. There will also be a chance to see documents that are relevant to the town of Caernarfon.

Directions - from the south or north along the A487 - when you arrive at the destination at the bottom of the bypass, follow signs towards Victoria Dock / Archives / Gallery.
