Conwy Culture Centre is home to the county’s archive service and museum collections, the area library and a café. Opened in late 2019, the Culture Centre is open to all. However, the public are not normally permitted access to the basement where the archive and museum collections are looked after in passive storage, using the earth’s thermal energy to keep the collections at a constant temperature.
Come and visit Conwy Archive and Museum Services on 25 and 26 September for the Open Doors Day event. This is your chance to see all things behind-the-scenes!
This Open Doors Day event is part of a broader celebration of Welsh archives and records via the Archives Wales Alive / Archifau Cymru Byw project taking place in September 2026. Archives are for everyone, so please come along if you are interested in history, heritage, culture and creativity!
10 spaces at each event. Email archifau.archives@conwy.gov.uk or call 01492 577550 to book.
