Glamorgan Archives serves the authorities of Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taff and the Vale of Glamorgan. It collects, preserves and makes available to the public documents from the area dating from the 12th century to the present day. Over 12km of documents are held in the strongrooms of its purpose-built facility.

There will be conservation demonstrations going on in our studio.

Explore documents recording hundreds of years of the history of Glamorgan.

Staff will be on hand to offer advice and guidance on starting and continuing your research - be it local history, house history, family history, a school or university project, or anything else!

All these events are free, and you’re welcome to call in any time between 10am and 2pm.
