The castle is a spectacular example of a medieval grade 1 scheduled ancient monument, located in the heart of Mumbles. It is owned by Swansea Council and operated by Friends of Oystermouth Castle, a registered charity.

Entry to the castle will be free to all, and there will be guided tours by volunteers throughout the day, that will look at the fantastic history, architecture and archaeology of the castle.

Address - Oystermouth Castle, Castle Avenue, Mumbles, Swansea, SA3 4BA.

There are three main car-parks in the village (the quarry, the dairy car-park and southend/Verdi's). Access via walking is through Norton/Castle Woods from Mumbles Road, Castle Avenue or from Castle Road.

Buses run regularly from Swansea Quadrant Bus Station to Oystermouth Square.

There are bike racks at the bottom of the drive up to the castle.

Due to the nature of the terrain where there are steep steps, access can be limited for wheelchair users and pushchairs. Access is possible to the visitor centre where there is an audio visual presentation that showcases the rooms inside the castle.
