Discover the breathtaking gardens of Plas yn Rhiw, a 17th-century manor perched above Cardigan Bay. Explore the beautifully tended garden filled with vibrant flowers, shrubs, and box-hedged beds. Enjoy walks through the orchard, meadow and woodlands. 

While the house is currently closed for restoration, one of the rooms will be open.

Nearby, Sarn y Plas, nestled beneath the woods of Plas yn Rhiw, is a historic cottage, once the home of poet R.S. Thomas and his wife, M.E. Eldridge.

Plas yn Rhiw will be free to enter for the weekend (garden only, house closed for ongoing building
works) and Sarn y Plas will be accessible on a freeflow
basis across the weekend. This weekend will
also be the launch event of an art and poetry community project hosted at Sarn y Plas.

Directions - from Pwllheli: follow the A449 to Llanbedrog. Turn right onto the B4413, following brown signs for Plas yn Rhiw towards Aberdaron.
From Nefyn: take the B4417 to Pengroeslon, then join the B4413. Turn right for Aberdaron or left for Pwllheli. Avoid narrow lanes suggested by Sat Nav.
From Aberdaron: follow the B4413 for 8 miles to the Plas yn Rhiw sign. Accessible parking is on the left. The main car park is 80 yards downhill on the right.
Parking: main car park is on a bend before a steep hill (signposted). Accessible parking is further on the right (narrow lane, not suitable for wide vehicles).
