Open Doors - St Gwynin's Church, Dwygyfylchi, Penmaenmawr.

The present St Gwynin's church was built in 1889 in the Early English style to the design of Bruce Vaughan. This is the third on the site where Gwynin set up his cell in the 6th Century. There are many interesting features including stained glass windows depicting Christs Crucifixion and Resurrrection and Ascension. Six windows in the nave depict Celtic saints, some local to this area.

St Gwynin's will be open on Saturday September 12th from 11am til 3pm. There will be tea /coffee and biscuits available. Please be aware that there are no toilets in the church or close by in the village.

Easily accessible from A55 via Dwygyfylchi . Trains stop at Penmaenmawr Station. There is the 5 or 5D bus from either Bangor or Caernarfon; or from Llandudno which stops out side the church. Easily accessible with wheel chair or walking frame.
