Lady Augusta Mostyn, a key figure in Llandudno’s Victorian development, saw churches as central to her vision for the town. As a devout Anglican she believed that spiritual life should underpin the resort’s growth. By providing funds for and supporting St Paul’s, she created a Christian landmark anchored in the residential area of Craig y Don, reinforcing its identity as a spiritually and culturally rich seaside destination. The church was built in memory of HRH Duke of Clarence. The plans were made by Mr J Oldrid Scott (son of Sir Gilbert Scott), the corner-stone was laid by Lady Augusta Mostyn in 1893, and a memorial stone 1895 was laid by HRH Duchess of Teck when the nave opened for its first worship.

For Open Doors, the church will be open for visitors to look round and meet members of the church, who will be available to answer questions about the church's history.
From 11am - 12 noon there will be sung 1662 Matins, led by the Cantamus Conwy Chamber Choir.
