St Trillo's is reputedly the oldest church in North Wales. It was originally built as a private chapel for Ednyfed Fychan who lived at the nearby Llys Euryn. The present church became the parish church when, it is reputed, the former parish church was lost to the sea in the 8th or 9th century. Parts of the present structure date back to the 12th century.

St Trillo's churchyard contains over 2,500 graves, and many buried there were influential in the development of Colwyn Bay.

This year's Open Doors weekend has the title Seasons of Love. There will be exhibitions and displays reflecting the history of the church and the liturgical seasons. Graveyard tours of the most interesting graves will be programmed for the Saturday and the Sunday.

Address - St. Trillo's Church, Llandudno Rd, Rhos on Sea, LL28 4YS.

The church is on the no. 12 bus route - Llandudno to Rhyl. The bus stop is Dinerth Road.
