Car parking information
There is no car parking facilities on site. There are public car parking facilities available nearby. There is a large public car park which is run by the town council 2 minutes walk away on the water front then there is another car park to the rear of the castle run by the County Council which can accommodate buses and is 5 minutes walk away. There are charges for both these car parks.
Site access
There is a small area within the entrance gates for unloading equipment into the site but it then has to be carried into the site. It is possible to use a small loader of some sort and the but then weight restrictions will apply and this would have to be checked with the Property Services team for these limits.
Access for restricted mobility
Most of the site at Beaumaris is accessible to people with impaired mobility although they wouldn’t have access to the wall walks and the exhibition on the history of the castle has a small step into it.

Any restricted areas?
Yes - for evening events where the performance leads into night time and dark hours then temporary lighting would be needed. No wall walks or tower access. For evening events, access to the public is through the main gate and acess for evening events is only permitted after closing time. all events should take place after normal closing time to allow clearance of the monument before allowing entry to event by others. Other restrictions are areas which are cordoned off or areas beyond current fixed barriers. No dogs allowed on site unless assistance ones and no ball games etc. There are no other restricted areas on site except during conservation or maintenance works.
