Young Custodians Wales – Register
Young Custodians Wales – Register
When you have done the basics and feel you are ready to sign up to be Young Custodians.
You will then need to complete our simple Young Custodian application form, detailing your school/group, your findings and know how your historic monument is to become part of your learning space. Cadw Education team will then contact you, before we register you onto the scheme
Feel free to contact us through Cadw.education@gov.wales at any point, to start a discussion about Young Custodians.
Before we can induct you on the Young Custodians Hall of Fame alongside your adopted historical site, we need you to create a logo badge for your school which incorporates your chosen historical monument.
Create a Badge
We ask that those signing up to young custodians create a logo badge for your school or group, which incorporates your chosen historical monument . Other Young Custodian groups have done this by running a competition and we encourage this. Cadw Education team would be part of any competition judging panel. We will support delivery of finished badges. Once a badge design is agreed we will get these made up for you.
All schools, Scouts, Guides and a number of other eligible groups can automatically use our Education Visits offer to access free visits to Cadw staffed charged sites. Where an approved Young Custodian group are linked to a Cadw charged site, the badges also enable the Young Custodians, who wear them to their site, to get free access for them and their family
Once we are satisfied all is in place for a successful Young Custodian Project, we will have your badges made up, send you a certificate for your school, and get you added to our Web site.
You are now Cadw Young Custodians, and we will be on hand to support you with your ideas and help with any projects you have in mind that centre around your monument, where we are able.
Good luck, we look forward to hearing about your exciting monuments and projects.
