Art in the Amphitheatre

As part of the Roman Caerleon Partnership, we are calling all artists to join us in the amphitheatre for a mass art event. 

Be inspired by the amazing Roman amphitheatre - to paint, draw, photograph or create art in any way you choose. Complete the work in a day (plain air) or take you sketches away to finish later. 

This session is open to all levels, from complete beginners to professional artists. Come for the whole day or just drop in for an hour or two. Bring a picnic and make a day of it.  

Artists are invited to submit their work for a Roman-themed arts exhibition in the Caerleon Roman Museum, as part of Caerleon Open Studios 2026. The deadline for submission is 1 June 2026.
