Din Dryfol Chambered Tomb

Burial site and time capsule from the Neolithic period
This Neolithic (New Stone Age) chambered tomb’s elongated layout was dictated by its position on a narrow, rocky ridge. Excavations have revealed up to four separate chambers built through several phases of construction.
The most recent chamber is marked by a tall portal stone on the ridge’s eastern side, while uprights and a capstone measuring 10ft/3m by 5ft/1.5m to the west are from the site’s earliest developments.
