Dancing has always been a way that we can express and enjoy ourselves, but 500 years ago those dances ranged from the Branle of the commoner to the Gavotte of the courtier rather than the rumba or the waltz that you’ll find today….
We welcome the return of the Renaissance Footnotes company to inform and entertain you; you’ll learn about the etiquette, food and music of the 15th to the 17th Centuries, and you are cordially invited to witness some of the most popular dances – maybe even joining in – as you’re provided with a glimpse of what might possibly be described as “Period Strictly”!
