This is one of the earliest Christian sites in Britain, and was founded in the middle of a Roman cemetery. St Peblig was a Romano-Celt saint.

There is a variety of architecture: 15th century tower, chancel and roof timbers in north transept; 16th century alabaster tomb. The oldest wall is 13th century.

This old military church contains a memorial to the Battle of Mametz Wood.

A chance to have a cup of tea and a chat.

Open access. Quiet sacred space.

Location: Caernarfon, LL55 2LN.

Directions: Follow the signs to Segontium Fortress. The church is 100 yards on the same side - the north. On the Beddgelert road. Lots of space in the car park behind the road.
