Beaumaris Castle will welcome fighting knights to the castle over the Whit Bank Holiday weekend.

You’re invited to come along and train to be a knight in the Knight’s school for children. Adults can have a go at learning some basic sword fighting skills and learn about weapon and archery in the displays and talks.

There will also be a jester’s circus skills workshop where young and old can have a go at learning tricks that the jesters use to entertain.

You can also join in with the House of the Black Star and learn spear drills and skills in combat and see how the soldiers would attack and defend the castle. They will have storytelling, cooking displays, medieval medicine and leather work and will talk you through the way of life back in medieval Wales.

Musicians will roam the castle playing medieval tunes for the towns people to enjoy, you’re welcome to show us some of your moves if you so wish.

You do not need to book for this event.
