Aberglasney was made famous by the BBC television series 'A Garden Lost in Time'. Today it is one of Wales' finest gardens; a renowned plantsman's paradise with a unique Elizabethan Cloister Garden at its heart.

In celebration of Cadw’s ‘Open Doors’ month in September, on Saturday 14th September we are offering free (but normal admission to the Gardens still applies) tours of the upper floors of Aberglasney's grade II* listed Mansion. Normally, only the ground floor of the Mansion is open.

The bare walls of these un-restored areas of the Mansion tell the story of how the building evolved over time with changing architectural fashions and the rise and fall of the fortunes of Aberglasney’s residents.

There is no charge to join the tour but normal admission to the Gardens applies to non-Members of Aberglasney.

Tours will start at five times during the day: 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm. Only around 15 people can go on any one tour. If you would like a guaranteed space, please call 01558 668998 to book onto a tour.
