Plas Coch dates back to 1605 and was built using repurposed red sandstone from Ruthin Castle. Originally the home of the Constable of the Castle. Since then it has been the home of retired hoteliers, a professional opera singer, an ironmonger and even a member of the local nobility. In 1960 it was transformed into a banqueting hall and then a hotel, it became the Conservative Club but closed following Covid and remained empty until it was bought by local business owners Tracey Dutton and Kevin Jones. It has now been renovated and sympathetically restored revealing many original features.

Plas Coch is now a stunning shop with an array of unusual home décor and artisan gift products along with the Lavinia Stamps craft range. There is a workshop and demonstration area with light refreshments available. There is onsite parking and customer toilets.
