The Talyllyn Railway's Pendre Works are possibly the world's oldest continually used railway engineering facility. In use since 1865, it is still in daily use as the engineering home of Talyllyn.

A behind-the-scene tour will be available for the running shed, engineering facility, coach shed and block post.

Booking required.  There are two available tours, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.  Participants will be transported by train each way from Tywyn Station (no direct access is available to the works).  For the morning tour the train will leave at 10.30am and for the afternoon tour the train will leave at 2pm.  The tours last around 1 hour.

There is a limit to twenty people per tour, due to space/safety restrictions.

The works are not suitable for wheelchairs, and are dirty and oily! Please wear footwear suitable for uneven surfaces.
